Blog Series — Preparing For Your Appointment

Last blog we talked about how to set up your consultation and what happens during a consultation (check it out here!). Follow our blog series as we journey through the process of microblading at The Pink Door!

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Now that we’ve gotten through the consultation and you’ve scheduled your appointment, you want to make sure you’re prepared before you arrive! Not everyone is a candidate for microblading and this will likely be discussed during consultation, but something may come up between your consultation and your appointment. Now, I know this list looks really long and you probably want to skim through it but it is VERY important to carefully read through this list to ensure your safety during the procedure.

MICROBLADING IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE WHO IS OR HAS THE FOLLOWING:

  • Dark, old or misplaced permanent cosmetics in microblading area
  • Pregnant or nursing
  • Diabetic
  • Bleeding disorders
  • Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
  • Viral infections and/or diseases
  • Epilepsy
  • Pacemaker or major heart problems
  • Organ transplant
  • Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
  • Sick or ill (cold, flu, etc.)

Excessive bleeding may occur if you are or have any of the above, making it difficult for the pigment to be implanted.

Please be mindful of our cancellation policy at this time as well. We know that life is kind of crazy, so if you cannot make it to your appointment, please call at least 2 days in advance.

Our Cancellation Policy:

We require 2 business days as notification of cancellation or rescheduling. If cancellations or changes are made within the required time frame, the deposit is fully refundable. Otherwise, for late notifications or no-shows, the reservation fee is forfeited.

Failure to disclose pertinent medical information that results in the last minute cancellation of a scheduled procedure will result in a fee. If you have any conditions that you are under on-going medical care for, you must disclose this before scheduling an appointment so we can evaluate your situation and determine if you are a candidate for the process.

The result of any cosmetic procedure, including but not limited to permanent cosmetics, cannot be guaranteed. As such, whether or not a patient is satisfied with the outcome, there will be no refunds.

Before your appointment

  • Do not tan near or on the day of the appointment
  • Do not have sunburn on the day of the appointment
  • Stop all Retin-a retinol products
  • Limit alcohol use the night before the procedure
  • Limit Aspirin, Tylenol, Motrin and Fish Oils the night before the procedure

Now that you’re sure you’re still a candidate for microblading and you’ve prepared for your appointment properly, you’re ready! We can’t wait to see you and give your brows a transformation. Check out some of Nicole’s previous work below!
